Yvonne Okocha
Yvonne Okocha as a Student in Monaco founded Verafina in 2010. After a few years of being a Realtor specializing in luxury properties and providing concierge services to high-end clients in Lagos, London and Monaco, she saw the potential for a company in Nigeria offering a unique range of luxury lifestyle products and services and set up Verafina in Lagos, Nigeria in 2012.
She is the first Nigerian (and 1 of only 4 Africans at the time) to obtain a Master’s degree in Luxury Goods and Services Management (MLUX) from the International University of Monaco (IUM) located in the Principality of Monaco. IUM is continuously ranked amongst the best Universities in the Luxury Industry. She has a Certificate from the Executive Education Program in Strategic Marketing Management at the Harvard Business School (HBS), Boston, USA and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK (CIM) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, UK (CIPR).
As part of her academic experience, Yvonne worked on case studies for some of the world’s most luxurious fashion, jewelry, hospitality brands like; LVMH, Gucci, Chanel, Burberry, Ermenegildo Zegna, Cartier, De Beers, Richemont, Baccarat, Burj Al Arab to mention a few and also attended numerous seminars and conferences in the European Luxury industry.
Yvonne has previously worked with Bottega Veneta (The Gucci Group) in France and FORBES Africa in Nigeria. She speaks English and French, is interested in photography and philanthropy, loves music, travelling and is an avid Formula1 and Polo fan.
